Feedback from Huggers
Here's some feedback we've had from the Huggers
just a quick note to say thanks heaps for inventing and organising the random hugging thing - i had a fantastic day and it was an immense feeling to bring people a little bit of random happiness! all the huggers were totally lovely too - please let me know when photos go up/any news items appear anywhere... i remember nervously mumbling something into the russian guy's microphone, hope it doesn't actually get broadcast to anyone...
thanks again,
jamie
Thank you so much to you and your organising team for the Random Huggers day! An extraordinary experience (arm-opening, and 'eye-opening' at the same time).
Thanks too to everyone there on the day who helped give me the confidence to go-for-it. (Hopefully not over-zealously!)
A BIG thank you and Well Done!

I made a point of offering hugs to everyone who crossed my path, even if I at first had a look at them and thought 'I don't want to hug that person'. Maybe especially if I'd started off judging them. My reward was ongoing surprise and delight at the people who were willing to accept a hug. It was moving to see some people go through a bit of 'Me? You want to hug me? Are you sure?', then come forward for their hug. ….What a blast! It feels wonderful to have spent a few hours just plain hugging people. And on the selfish side, I got hundreds of hugs, from the most varied array of people imaginable….
I had a wonderful time, learned, and feel honoured to have been part of spreading more love in the world. I'm very grateful to have been able to take part, and hope to take part again next year.

Congratulations on creating such a wonderful day. I felt a very great connection to my fellow man. What a gift it was to hug and chat to so many strangers in the space of three hours on a Sunny Sunday.
I had people come up to me and say “Bless you for doing this- what a wonderful thing to give up your time and to come and hug people.”
I will also not forget one very emotionally fragile woman that I hugged who said afterwards, “you don’t know how much I needed that.” I could tell that it made a real difference to her spirits.
In fact I would hazard to say that everyone we hugged, was touched. So many people said “you have made my day” we all demonstrated that there is a very different way of “being” with total strangers and in the heart of London.
I look forward to the next random huggers day in 2006 and will do what I can to help you spread the word as far and wide as possible.
