The second ever Random Huggers Day will take place in Covent Garden and the South Bank in London on May 1. Last year's event, the first of its type in Britain, resulted in 3,000 hugs being given away to strangers over a three and a half hour period by a group of volunteers. "Our idea is to spread some warmth, love and fun, and all the wonderful energy in a hug. Giving people a hug can even save lives, " claimed Mayella Johnstone.
